I wish our basement neighbor would move. The lease is for him only, so when the landlord talked to him about having his girlfriend and son live with him, she disappeared. Well for almost a week anyway. While she was gone he did “only” one load of laundry per day and he was actually pretty quiet.
Now that she is back, the TV is loud, the kid is crying and the washer and dryer have more stamina than a newly wed couple on their honeymoon. It sound’s like I’m exaggerating but honestly, the washer has been doing at least five loads a day for the past 4 days. Since we pay two-thirds of the rent it feels like we are funding her laundry service. She must be running a laundry service. They are always complaining about the temperature yet refuse to wear proper clothing. I wonder if her rates are reasonable? It might be nice to have our laundry done for us. I want to put a sign on the washer stating that is is for tenants only (and you are not a tenant), but I just can’t do it.
I also want to walk using the entire base of my feet. I walk around the house putting very little weight on my heals. I decided last week that I would stop doing that, but i continue to tippy-toe. I can’t help it, I’m just too nice.
I’ll never do anything, but I continue to build a list of ideas on my head.
- I’ve lived with mice before, it’s not so bad. I bet they would even stay in the basement. I wonder if Petland sells mice?
- It wouldn’t be so bad if the washing machine and dryer mysteriously quite working. We have a car, so it wouldn’t be difficult to drive to the laundromat to do our 4 loads of laundry each week.
- There are a lot of vacancies in the city making it a renters market. Maybe I should start clipping classified ads that look promising. Or I could just call the rental places and give his phone number to call him back.
Well that’s all I have for now, but maybe someone can help me with suggestions.
